Handmade Wedding Thank You's & Cupcake Holders

My husband and I have been married 5 years now! Together for 10. Yep. And we still hear from family and friends about how special our handmade wedding favors are to them. Some tell us that they their store rings, earrings, bobby pins, pills or vitamins in them. They are tucked away in all of our family and friends's homes on windowsills, bathroom countertops, entryway desks and bedside table. What a lasting impression they have had over the years.

With the help of family and friends, we planned our wedding ourselves, made and hung the decorations, cooked and baked most of the food, made a card box, bunched together our own bouquets and wrote our own vows. And when we didn't make it ourselves we choose something local. Choosing a local venue Field of Dreams https://www.facebook.com/Field-of-Dreams-Banquet-Facility-119956631396331/, ordering local pulled pork from Grumpy's BBQ http://www.grumpyssmokehouse.com/ and hiring a local band and bartender.

So when it came time to decide what to send our guests home with as a thank you gift and a memory of the night, our pottery seemed perfect. My husband and I had recently started a pottery business and we wanted to share that with our guests. We decided on tiny cups. Lots of them. 200 tiny cups filled with cupcakes in all sorts of flavors.
These tiny cups would be printed with our names and the wedding date. We could use them as table decorations to hold a few candles. But most of them would be used to hold mini cupcakes. They were a huge hit. Each one handprinted and slightly different. Guests snuck over to the dessert table before eating the main course to select the piece they found most appealing.

These mini cupcake holders are still available on our Etsy site. https://www.etsy.com/listing/230203385/mothers-day-mini-cupcake-holder-custom?ref=shop_home_active_18
They are easy to use. You can bake your cupcakes directly into the holders, as they are oven safe. Or you could drop them in after baking. You can print any custom text on the inside or outside of the dishes.  Perhaps a # to let people know where to share pictures. You could even add a colored glaze to the inside to go along with your color theme. Or perhaps a gold or silver rim along the top. There are lots of ways to design them to fit your unique wedding. We would be happy to talk with you about personalizing these dishes. We also offer wholesale pricing if you have a larger wedding attendance. Please feel free to browse our site to see various design examples and get inspired.
